Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the operation of the Business Office Department in Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Brackettville sites. Overseeing and coordinating the overall Business Office functions in tri-county sites in conjunction with the Clinic Managers, Business Office Supervisors, and Business Office Assistant Supervisors. Responsible for overseeing all electronic and hard copy billing functions for United Medical Centers to include but not limited to (Medical, Family Planning, and Dental services). Responsible for recommending and developing policies and procedures impacting Business Office operations through the appropriate committees and/or approved protocols to ensure the financial viability of United Medical Centers in conjunction with the Fiscal/Accounting Departments and other key management. Ensures the development of management reports to measure Business Office operations and efficiency, including but not limited to generating revenues, increase in collections, decreasing the accounts receivable balances and ensuring regulatory compliance with funding sources. Ensures that UMC’s mission, goals, and objectives are accomplished per prescribed priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions in conjunction with other management staff. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting United Medical Centers, such as State/Federal regulations, TJC standards, HRSA, DSHS and Compliance/Performance standards, and regulations.
Graduate from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
Two (2) to three (3) years management experience in community health programs and/or clinics required with emphasis in Business Office Management preferred. Must have general thorough and updated knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing and other third-party payers.
