Under the supervision and direction of a Registered Pharmacist and with the assistance of the Lead Certified/Registered Pharmacy Tech is responsible for providing technical support in performing various functions including but not limited to: distribution of prepackaged prescribed medications/drugs, pharmaceutical preparations, answering the phone, computer input and cashiering functions. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting the Medical Center, such as State/Federal regulations (i.e., HIPAA), TJC, and DSHS standards.
• High School graduate or equivalent with college courses preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Clerical and computer experience preferred.
