UMC will bill your insurance provider for Professional Service Fees provided during the course of your visit. It is our policy to collect all co-pays, deductibles and fees not covered by your insurance at the time of visit. Financial Counselors will screen you to see if you qualify for our sliding fee scale which is based on family income and family composition. If you qualify, we will assist you in enrolling in the plan that best meets your family's needs.
We accept Cash, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards as means of payment. In addition, we accept Medicare, Medicaid and most Private Insurance.
UMC accepts online payments via our Patient Portal as well as the Make Payment option below.
HMO insurance policies require that your primary care physician authorize a referral to a Medical Specialist. Look at your Insurance Card to determine if you have an HMO policy or call the 800 number on the card to inquire.
If you have an HMO policy, contact your primary care physician to obtain a written referral in advance of your Medical Specialist Appointment.
Failing to do so violates the terms of your insurance policy and the carrier will not pay for your medical visit.
