Clinic Coordinator, El Indio Clinic

Job Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations, the Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and compliance of activities of El Indio Clinic as per approved rules, guidelines, and regulations of United Medical Centers and the various Federal/State Compliance standards. Assists in reviewing, assessing, and recommending improvements to enhance provider productivity. Works closely with all Supervisors/Directors to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic as a whole. Works with the medical, local, and business communities in establishing and maintaining relationships towards meeting community needs and services. Assists in executing UMC’s mission, goals, and objectives are as per prescribed priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions. Works closely with Clinic Managers in other clinic sites to ensure consistency and compliance with operations in the Tri-County Area. Responsible for ensuring compliance with other requirements impacting United Medical Centers such as State/Federal regulations, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Optimizing Comprehensive Clinical Care (OC3), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Meaningful Use, Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Standards, Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance (QI/QA), and Americans with Disabilities Acts (ADA) Requirement. Works closely with the local news media in promoting UMC as approved by the Director of Operations.

Education:

Graduate from a four (4) year college or university in Public Business or Health Care Administration or Certified Medical Assistant/Clinical Background preferred.

Experience/Training:

•Two (2) or more years of management-level experience in community health programs, preferably federally funded preferred.
•Strong computer background to include information system protocols.
•Knowledgeable in the operations of support service departments such as health records, business office, and maintenance.
