Under the supervision and direction of the assigned charge nurse and in coordination with the medical providers, assists in providing care in the area(s) assigned in accordance with established philosophy, policies, and procedures. Responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Must be able to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be certified from an approved NRCMA Program.
1. Must have current CPR certification.
2. Prior experience in all nursing areas preferred.
3. Prior experience in patient education primarily in diabetes, hypertension, and other community-sponsored health education programs preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to communicate proficiently with individuals of diverse backgrounds and economic levels. Must be able to be certified as a noncertified radiology technician as required by the position.
